Exercise as often as you can.
If you can’t
imagine your day without sleeping, eating
or drinking water, then try adding exercise
to this ‘must-do’ list. All kinds of regular
activities can make your body stronger
and fitter and your health much better.
Remember: if you want to feel better, keep
moving!
Eat healthy food.
If you want to be fit again,
forget about fast food. You have to stop
drinking your favourite soft drinks too. Make
sure your diet includes fruits and vegetables,
cheese, a lot of water and fresh juice.
Start with small steps.
If you are a
beginner it’s better to start with some
everyday activity. You can walk or ride
your bike to school, or to a friend’s house
instead of going by bus. Lifts are good, but
stairs are better for your health. If you like
watching TV and wouldn’t like to miss your
favourite TV show, then you can do some
sit-ups and stretches, or jump with a rope.
Have fun.
It is important to find an activity
that you really enjoy doing. When you like it,
it is more difficult to give up and the results
are better.
So you feel bad again, and your old clothes don’t fit anymore? You say ‘no’
football with your friends because you are tired after the match. You plan to
stop going to your dance classes because your body hurts on the next day?
If that’s how you feel, it’s time for you to get fit and have fun again.
