My own book of world records
You are going to create your own top 3 weird world records.
Step 1
Think about any world records that you know about: e.g. the fastest plane, the
oldest man/woman, the weirdest building, the largest pizza and so on. Make a
list on a piece of paper.
Step 2
Answer the question: what kind of things do you think are weird?
Step 3
Browse the links your teacher gave you.
Step 4
Read the titles that introduce the records. Don’t worry if you don’t understand
all the words. Look at the pictures and the videos that go with each record.
Step 5
Choose your top 3 records and write them in this order:
1
the weirdest
2
weirder
3
weird
Step 6
Read the information about your records once again. This time check the
meaning of the words that you don’t know. Use your dictionary.
Step 7
Describe each record in your own words. Use these questions to help you.
3
What type of record is this?
3
Who did it? When? Where?
3
Why did you put it on your personal list?
Step 8
Add the information from Step 7 to a file and send it to your teacher.
